2004 Murder Cold but Police Find Some Leads

A 3-year murder case turns cold and police are looking for your help to crack this mystery. They say it happened March 17th, 2004, in 91-year old Herman Taylor's living room. Police went a few years without any leads but now with the newly formed cold case unit they say they're inches away from solving the case. If you drove by Herman Taylor's home friends say his yard was a labor of love, that is where you could always find him. But now years later his yard hasn't been touched since. A new owner has just bought the house that was the scene of his mysterious death. In 2004, police found the 91-year old man stabbed to death on a chair in his living room. They can't find a motive .. and he didn't have much family. We caught up with his friend who phoned police asking them to check on Taylor because he hadn't been answering his phone. Now 3 years later ... And Springfield's new cold case unit is close to breaking the case but it's still hard on his friends. "I really don't have any idea I was just shocked and I really think it's a terrible shame that someone would take advantage and kill somebody that's totally defensless but an unsuspecting person. " Said Linda Bee, Taylor's Friend.
