(CHAMPAIGN)---What started out as a decent day for "Taste of Champaign/Urbana" turned dreary as thunderstorms made their way into the area. Unfortunately due to the threat of lighting, taste officials were forced to close the festival for the rest of the day. Both vendors and organizers agree, it's better safe than sorry.
"The weather is coming in this way quickly and they're wanting to get everybody undercover safe wise because the tents especially (are) just like a big lightning rod." Says one vendor.
The Taste will open back up on Sunday for it’s third and final day at its normally scheduled time.
