Kids Hold Rock Concert Inside Library

(DANVILLE)---Youre normally supposed to whisper in a library, but Tuesday night kids in Danville took center stage as they played the role of rock star in a friendly competition. Library workers used the game "Guitar Hero" to get kids off the couch and back into the library. It was all part of the second "G.H." tournament of the summer. With their guitars in hand, around thirty grade-schoolers competed against each other.
"Its nice for them to be able to find other kids who like to do the same thing and be around other kids instead of just doing it at home by themselves all the time." Says mother Julia Reynolds
As for the kids, theyre just happy to be able to rock out. "I think its just fun that they make a game about playing guitar." says 12 year old Anderson Reynolds who boasts a high score of 22,000 points.
The top three players got gift certificates to local stores. A third guitar hero competition will be held in august along with a “Dance Dance Revolution” tournament as well.
