Clinton Baby Injured

DECATUR- A baby girl is in critical condition tonight and how she got hurt has police asking questions.
Police were called to John Warner hospital in Clinton Friday night when the baby arrived with suspicious injuries.Police say she showed up at the hospital with severe bruises and swelling of the head. They were called in when the story didn't match her injuries.
Doctors from John Warner hospital called police around 9-o-clock when the 10 month old baby girl arrived. Police won't say who brought the baby to the hospital but what they told doctors didn't seem right. They are now questioning those involved and say most likely more will come in the following days. The baby girl was airlifted to a hospital in Peoria and remains in critical condition.
Doctors have medicated her to a "coma-like state" to help reduce the swelling in her brain. They are hopeful tonight but say she's lucky to have survived this long.
