The Urbana Fire Department is looking into several acts of arson at two Urbana parks this weekend. Urbana Deputy Fire Chief, Tony Foster said vandals threw two molotov cocktails at Meadowbrook Park, then another at blair park causing some damage to playground equipment and endangering passersby. Firefighters say the damage was minor but what is scary is the injuries this could have caused if a child got too close or if the fires got out of hand. "Damage to property is one thing but it could have easily injured one of our firefighters or could have injured other people, innocent people as well," said Foster. "This ramdom act is arson and there's no doubt about it, it's something we need to tke very seriously." Urbana Fire and Police are investigating the matter. They ask if you saw anything this weekend to give them a call.
