Teen Killed in Accident with Train

fIROQUOIS COUNTY - A 16-year-old teen from Iroquois County is dead after his vehicle was hit by a train. It happened around ten Saturday morning on 2200 North Road about 3 miles north of Watseka.

The county coroner says Trevor Schneider was pronounced dead on the scene. He says Schneider was watching a southbound train when he was struck by another train coming from the north. It all happened at a rural crossing with no lights only warning signs.

Schneider was a sophomore at Donovan High School.
