May 2004: Curt Deedrich was appointed as Supervisor of Assessments in a close vote. Some said he only got it because hes a Democrat.
February 2006: Deedrich was suspended and locked out of his office after he was accused of harassing some of his workers. He was later cleared of the charges.
April 2006: Deedrich got a verbal warning from the county board.
October 2006: Area townships accused Deedrich of breaking the law for taxing some yards as farmland. They said that kept money from Champaign schools. Deedrich called the complaints a political stunt.
May 9, 2007: Champaign County Board voted to dismiss Deedrich. He filed a lawsuit against the county saying board members and the Champaign County states attorney overstepped their boundaries.
