Police say  29 year old Jose Sanchez had sex with two women knowing he was HIV positive, but  didn't tell them. He pleaded not guilty today to spreading the disease and criminal sexual abuse.
Since last fall, there was a warrant for his arrest out of Champaign. It stems for the first charge of spreading HIV. The first victim is his wife. She was pregnant at the time and tested positive. He was charged but did not show up to court.
The most recent case involved a 14 year old girl. Officers were called to Carle Hospital emergency room. There, they say the victim told them she had a sexual relationship with Sanchez for a year, but he never told her he was HIV positive.
Investigators arrested Sanchez on Friday in Urbana. They say he is also know as Luis Sanchez and Jesus Moran. They are asking the public, if they know anyone he was dating, that they contact police so the women can be informed.
He does have a criminal background, include resisting arrest and trespassing. He spent time behind bars for trespassing. At that time in 2005, he was diagnosed with the disease.
If convicted on the charges, Moran faces up to seven years in prison and a $25,000 dollar fine.
