Piatt Co. Death Arrest

PIATT COUNTY-A Champaign man is in the Piatt county jail tonight waiting to be charged in connection to the death of 23 year old Wendy Edwards.
State police arrested 38 year old timothy odom in champaign. And say he could be charged with "reckless conduct" as the result of Edwards death. Odom is the only arrest the sheriff's office has made in relation to wendy edwards death at this time Officers say Odom was the last person with Edwards before she went missing on Monday.
Edward's body was found in the yard of her parent's home in rural piatt county Wednesday morning. The coroner is now awaiting toxicology results from an autopsy before a cause of death is determined. If charged Odom could face a misdemenor of reckless conduct.,which means causing bodily harm or endangering someone's safety. Now if it is found that he is responsible for the death of Edwards this would change to felony charges.
