Ron Zook got some help on Wednesday at a position of need for the Illinois football team. College of the Sequoias linebacker Aaron Gress gave Illinois his verbal commitment on Wednesday. Gress is a 6-foot2, 219 lb sophomore who primarily played weakside linebacker and safety for the COS Giants. Gress says he'll enroll at the U-of-I in January. The College of the Sequoias is the same school that sent RB Daniel Dufrene to Illinois.
