New Trial, Same Verdict

Updated: May 1, 2007
A jury returned a guilty verdict in the murder trial of David Hari. This is the second time a jury has found Hari guilty in the shooting death of his estranged wife's boyfriend. He was murdered in 2002. The Illinois Supreme Court overturend his first conviction because the jury never heard if Hari's medication may have caused him to commit the crime. In this second trial, the jury deliberated for just over an hour before finding him guilty. Hari will be sentenced in June. He faces 30 to 60 years behind bars.
