Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Demetri McCamey scored 19 points and dished out six assists -- both game-highs -- as the Illinois Fighting Illini routed the Georgia Bulldogs, 76-42, in a non-league matchup at the United Center.
Mike Davis and Mike Tisdale each scored 14 points for the Fighting Illini (7-1), who responded emphatically from Tuesday nights narrow loss to Clemson. Dominique Keller paced the reserves with 11 points.
Terrance Woodbury led Georgia (5-3) with 13 points, though he was the only Bulldog in double figures.
Georgia hung tough in the first half despite shooting just 41.7 percent from the floor, as Illinois went to the locker room with a 30-23 advantage at the break.
But the Fighting Illini caught fire in the second half by knocking down 20- of-29 field goals, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, to cruise to the 34- point victory.
It was an all-around ugly game for the Bulldogs, as they shot 35.3 percent from the field and committed 27 turnovers.
