policePolice say the investigations are moving forward in two murder cases but say the community are their eyes and ears on the streets. The most recent an early morning shooting on Main Street in Danville that left killed a man and two women a little over two weeks ago. A few months before that, the Alvarez murders on Shasta Drive on the city's east side. Police spokesman Larry Thomason says often people don't come forward with tips because they don't feel their information is worth anything. He says small things like a partial description, a sound, a voice, anything can give these cases a shove in the right direction. Thomason says investigators are exploring new leads and new information and they're pleading with the public to call police or crime stoppers to help these families find closure.
