Blago200x133large2007-04-05-1175816730.gifGovernor Blagojevich was promoting his new health care and tax plans on Thursday. He even made a surprise stop in Champaign at Christie Clinic.   In fact, officials at Christie Clinic didn't hear about it until this morning. The governor had a scheduled stop in Decatur earlier, and decided to come to Champaign on his way to Danville.

In Champaign, he spoke about his plan to get everyone in the state a primary care physician.  Last month, Christie Clinic announced its plan to take in 3,500 more clients.  We should learn more about the plan when details are revealed in the coming months.

The governor wants to pay for the plans by taxing large corporations. He says they need to pay their fair share.
