Decatur Murder Conviction

Updated: March 17, 2007
gavelDECATUR - A Springfield man has been found guilty of killing a Decatur woman more than three years ago. A Macon County jury found 30-year-old Tony Rolfe guilty of first degree murder Friday.

Prosecutors say he stabbed 30-year-old Shelia Wilson more than 26 times before she died. Wilson's body was found in the basement of her mother's east side home. A witness identified Rolfe as the person covered in blood sitting inside Wilson's car the day her body was found. He'll be back in court next month.
