IROQUOIS COUNTY -- The state's attorney is now investigating the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department after the Iroquois County Board found, what it considers, "red flags." The state's attorney says he's looking into department spending which could be out of the ordinary.

The county board's chair says members planned to hand over what they found to the proper authorities. He says they saw what the call "suspicious spending," but the department's director says no one was doing anything wrong.

The Ford County Board chair echoed that saying he hasn't seen any reason to be concerned with the department's spending. The state's attorney says he's been consulting with outside investigators about the case, but couldn't state any further about what they're looking for.
