MATTOON -- It may soon cost more to bury a loved one. The city's Public Works director says leaders are looking to raise rates at the Dodge Grove Cemetery by 3%. The increase would add about $35 to an average burial.

The cemetery is owned by the city. The city council will vote on the issue at Tuesday night's meeting. If it passes, it will go into effect May 1.
