URBANA -- Emergency responders from around Central Illinois came together for training. They met at the ILEAS Training Center for a free course Tuesday.

It's certified by the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to make sure rural areas can plan for the worst. Those attending the course say they hope to share vital information. The class was taught by members of the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium.
