UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- After a 3-day strike, UI workers will go back to the negotiating table with the university. SEIU Local 73 will meet with university reps and a mediator Monday.

The union, which represents more than 700 building and food service workers, voted against the UI's final contract proposal a week ago. Nearly 100% of the union stopped working Monday morning.

The strike lasted until Thursday at midnight. The main sticking points during negotiations have been wages and shift schedules.
