DECATUR -- A man heads back to class to give a history lesson. Richard Peck met with students from Dennis Elementary School. It's the same school he attended as a little boy.

Peck is now a well-known author. Monday, he talked about his novel, On the Wings of Heroes. It shares what life was like during World War II.

Every student in this class had a chance to read his book. The teacher says she picked it because of his ties to the school. Peck's written more than 30-novels and has one all sorts of awards for his work.
