HOMER -- A Champaign County town is celebrating soda. Homer is gearing up for its first ever Soda Fest.

Visitors will sample 200 varieties of glass-bottled soda. The event is put on by the Homer Soda Company.

There will also be blue grass bands, a barbecue cook-off and inflatables for the kids. You're guaranteed to try something you've never had before.

"Way back in the day, there used to be hundreds of different varieties of soda you could taste. Over the years it's narrowed down to a Coke or a Pepsi. So, what we do is find these bottlers that all they do is brew fantastic soda and we give them a broader audience," says Kate Boyer, owner of Homer Soda Company.

Each taste will cost $ .25. The fest is set for June 1.
