DECATUR -- Police say a woman tricked her neighborhood. You may remember Felicia Davis. WCIA-3 News interviewed her in January. The home next door to hers was set on fire five times.

Davis says she was shocked and sad to see it happen so close to home. But police say she was responsible all along.

Davis was arrested and charged with 3 counts of arson. WCIA-3's story started some conversation with neighbors exchanging stories about Davis. They told each other about conversations with her. Then they called police and told them the suspected arsonist was living right next door.

"The sidings melted, there's smoke damage."

That was Felicia Davis in January. She showed her home on North Maple saying it was damaged from the fire next door.

"I wish they would stop it," Davis said.

Police now say Davis is the one who set those fires. They say she lit the abandoned home on fire five times.

Judy Cameron lives a few houses down. She knew a woman living with Davis who told her Davis was starting the fires, but was too scared to tell anyone.

"The first thing I did was go to the police department."

Now Davis is behind bars. Police say another arrest is expected to happen soon.

"I got to the point that, you know, it's time that somebody did something about the crimes that had been committed," Cameron said.

The abandoned house was demolished a few weeks ago. A lot of neighbors didn't want to go on camera, but say they thought it was strange Davis was the first one to bang on their doors in the middle of the night screaming fire.

"They all need to grow up," Cameron said.
