Quinn plans to tackle unpaid bills

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor Quinn is proposing a new plan to chip away at the state's mountain of unpaid bills. He wants to close corporate tax loopholes.

He'd like them temporarily suspended until all nearly $9 billion worth of bills are paid off. Quinn says big-time corporations are getting away with millions of dollars which could be used to tackle the debt.

Critics don't see it that way. They say incentives help keep corporations in Illinois. The plan can't happen unless legislation is introduced and passed. No word if that will happen.
