FISHER -- Two women killed in a crash Tuesday were mother and daughter; Leah and Lindsey Forbes. Their van crashed with a semi on Dewey-Fisher Road.

Investigators say the semi was traveling in the opposite direction of the Forbes' when the vehicles crashed. Authorities are trying to determine if weather was a factor.

Lindsey went to Parkland and wanted to be a veterinarian. She was the vice president of the service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. Lindsey's classmates say she was a good friend and strong leader.

"I felt confident when I graduated, the chapter was in good hands if we had people like her."

Her service group says she was working on putting together a blood drive. They plan to do that now in her honor.

People say mother and daughter were inseparable. There is a fund set up for the family at Fisher National Bank.
