VERMILION COUNTY -- A Tennessee man and his blind dog are home safe, thanks to some generous people in Vermilion County. Steven Sauer and his dog, Toby, were walking from Seymour, just west of Champaign, to Tennessee.

Someone from Westville volunteered to take him the rest of the way. They stopped at Casey's on the way to say thanks. Customers and workers there gave him food and money for a hotel room.
