ILLINOIS -- Winter weather is putting a damper on Severe Weather Preparedness Week. A statewide tornado drill set for Tuesday has been postponed until Wednesday at 10 am.

All 102 counties will take part. Don't be alarmed if you hear the warning sirens.

ILLINOIS -- It's Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Last spring and summer dozens of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms took their toll on the state.

The National Weather service wants to make sure people are ready for severe weather. There will be statewide tornado drills Wednesday at 10 am.

Do not be alarmed if you hear warning sirens. Homes, schools and businesses are also encourage to practice their tornado safety plans this week.
