CHAMPAIGN -- Beer is one of the big attractions during "Unofficial" St. Patrick's Day. A university faith group is offering students an alternative.

Members of the Inter-varsity Christian Fellowship were handing out water on Green Street. Students could pick up free H2O on their way to class or in between bars.

Other university groups sold food like pancakes and bacon on the quad. Police strongly urged students to drink water as one way to drink less alcohol.
