4 accused of burglarizing high school

MACON -- Three men and one juvenile face charges for stealing sports equipment from Meridian High School. School officials reported the burglary to the sheriff's office Tuesday. An investigation turned up the stolen items in Decatur and led to the arrests.

22-year old Scott Kautz, 19-year old Devin Taapken, and 18-year old Sean Fouts, all of Macon, are currently in custody. The juvenile 16-year old juvenile, from Blue Mound, and a current student at the high school was released to the custody of his father.

Burglary to a school is a class 1 felony in Illinois. Two of the adult suspects are currently on probation for burglary in Macon County.
