CHAMPAIGN -- As Heart Month comes to a close, we're reminded it's never too late to make a healthy transformation. Still, finding motivation can be tough.

But, what if the gym came to you? That's what happened when one apartment complex started offering new classes. WCIA-3's Jillian Deam explains how it made a difference.

"You gotta have muscles for this."

Richard Keck is getting back into fitness.

"I'm sweating. I haven't done that for a long time."

He says it's been awhile since he's worked out.

"I'm too old for this!"

But, Richard is finding out he missed it.

"But you love it, right?"

"Yeah, I do. This is doing something besides sitting around watching TV."

"Alright, ya'll ready? March it! Let's go!"

He's marching back into action with others who live at Baytowne Apartments. The complex is offering new classes taught by Kinex fitness instructors.

"This is helpful. It makes you get out of bed, get up here and do things which is good."

"I came up and saw you doing it, and said, 'I can't pass this up.'"

Kinex instructor, Amanda Burke, makes sure they don't want to miss a class.

"They just love it because it's such a community-based class. Our main focus is balance, flexibility, strength and endurance."

From weights to resistance bands, nothing is off-limits to this group. Not even kick-boxing.

"Things I didn't know I had, hurt, but it's getting better."

"They just feel like they're getting stronger and their hearts are healthy and their blood is pumping."

And, as the blood gets pumping, Richard says he's only getting more pumped up.

"Keep doing it and pretty soon you'll go a little faster, a little easier and it makes you happier!"

It's been such a success, organizers plan to keep offering classes at Baytowne.
