CHAMPAIGN-URBANA -- A UI coach is serving up a challenge to cooks for his team. Women's volleyball coach Kevin Hambly put on a chef's coat and is testing his skills against top chefs in the area.

The money raised is for his team to go to Europe. It's called Chop Chef. Just like the show, each team got surprise ingredients and created a menu for a panel of judges to taste.

Guests paid $150 to try all the different foods. Hambly says he loves to cook and is having fun.

"Shrimp and grits, spring roll, butternut squash, poblano soup and we have chocolate risotto with lamb and chocolate. It's a little bit different to see how that one goes," says Hambly.

Hambly says the trip will give the team more practice time, helps with recruiting and is a bonding experience.
