DECATUR -- Gloria Davis won't be leaving after all. At least not yet.

The Beaufort County Board of Education named its new superintendent Thursday. Davis was one of two finalists for the job in South Carolina.

The board voted 9-2 in favor of the other candidate, Jeffery Moss of Lee County, NC. Davis has not yet commented about the decision.
