URBANA -- Students at the University of Illinois had a reason to celebrate Thursday. It's the university's 146th birthday.

One of the best ways to celebrate was with a block "I" made of orange and blue cupcakes. There were 600 of them all together.

Several student groups worked together on the idea and gave them all away. Students and staff could stop by the quad to pick one up. The Altgeld Bells played "Happy Birthday."
