No peace in gun control debate

SPRINGFIELD -- The debate over gun control rages on. Thursday afternoon, the public had a chance to tell state lawmakers what they think.
Some agree with Governor Quinn and President Obama. They say a ban on assault-style weapons would cut down on crime.
But, critics say a ban would only punish law-abiding gun owners, be tough to enforce and cost Illinois big bucks. About a dozen companies make guns in Illinois, a few here in our area.
