DECATUR -- The city's school board will consider possible budget cuts Tuesday night. It's expected to make $8-million in cuts for the coming school year. They're a result of less funding from the state and lowered area property taxes.

Considered cuts include a program for pregnant and parenting teens, block scheduling at the high schools and several departmental positions. The board is expected to vote on the cuts March 12.
