STM routs El Paso-Gridley to reach state final

NORMAL - St. Thomas More used a 27-2 run to race past El Paso-Gridley 62-48 in the state semifinals Friday night.  Freshman Tori McCoy led the way with 24 points and 14 rebounds.  It was her 19th double-double, which breaks the St. Thomas More single season record.  The Sabers outscored the Titans 34-12 in the middle two quarters to distance themselves.  Lexi Wallen was the only other Saber in double figures with 20 points.

St. Thomas More will face Nashville in the state championship game Saturday night at 8:15pm.
