DECATUR -- Police say a man reported missing by his family is wanted for manufacturing and possessing child pornography. The suspect in the investigation is 23-year old Gerald Long.

A search warrant was executed Tuesday at a home in the 200-block of Lisa Drive. Authorities were searching for evidence of possession and/or production of child pornography. Computers, electronic and digital equipment were confiscated and forensically examined by investigators.

Long was not taken into custody when the search was conducted pending the outcome of the investigation into the evidence. Thursday, evidence processed from the confiscated items led police to file an arrest warrant for Long for possession and production of child pornography.

Long's family reported him missing in the hours after the search was conducted and said he made threats to hurt himself before he disappeared. He's currently out on bail for a July arrest for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
