URBANA -- Hundreds of students gathered on the Main Quad at the UI to make a viral video of their take on the popular "Harlem Shake." The event originally started on Facebook, with about 200 people invited. That number quickly jumped to 6,000.

Participants braved the cold and wore costumes and masks for the video. Although the event only lasted a few minutes, students say it was a success. Organizers plan on posting the finished video on Facebook and YouTube.
