PAXTON -- A mom is making sure prom night will be special. Debbie Kafer is collecting dresses.

She wants to rent them out for $25. That money would be donated to local non-profits, and families who can't afford to spend hundreds, will be able to find a dress.

"I think it's very important," said Kafer. "It's a very social activity and everybody wants to look their best. To be able to provide a beautiful dress for them for that night really makes my heart sing."

Kafer is still in the process of collecting dresses. She plans to have the prom "shop" open March 2 and 10.
