Polar Plunge

Updated: March 13, 2007

MAHOMET -
It may have been warm outside today, but in the water it was another story. More than 200 polar plungers took their chances jumping into the Lake of the Woods this afternoon in Mahomet. It's was all part of the 2007 Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics.

Organizers say today was all about raising money for a group of people that always give their all. Organizers say this year was a record one with 17 teams taking a dip.
