DANVILLE -- An alderman spent his weekend in the Vermilion County jail after being arrested Saturday morning. Alderman Kevin Davis, Ward 1, was arrested by Danville police after he called to make a complaint about an unrelated matter.

Officers met Davis at his home, did a routine check and discovered a warrant had been issued for him last month in Coles County. The warrant stems from Davis missing a hearing on a traffic ticket issued in Coles County last year.

He was accused of driving on a suspended license. Davis' bond is set at $1,500.

Comments

I have said from day 1 that he ran for alderman to put $225.00 of our tax dollars in his pocket. He has the worst attendance of any alderman and then he gets arrested on a FTA on a driving while suspended charge. We tax payer are into him for over $2000.00. Taking money and not preforming the job I thought was called embezzling. As a taxpayer I think he should be fired and made to pay the money we taxpayers have paid him returned since he did not do the job he was elected to do.
