TUSCOLA -- This weekend's state high school wrestling tournament brought big bucks to Champaign County. But, it's impact spread even farther than that.

More than 4,200 people came to watch the competition. That's 3,000 more than last year.

All the hotels in Champaign-Urbana were booked, so some people looked a little farther to find a place to stay, including the Baymont Hotel. It was completely full this weekend.

The manager says wrestlers from five different teams stayed with them. Tourism experts say guests from the tournament spent more than $5.5 million over the weekend.
