WINDSOR -- A special student is giving Windsor High School a cause to cheer for. Jake Adams is the typical high school senior. He loves to play basketball and hang out with friends, but his story is much different.

Jake was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011. He just finished his final treatment. Classmates have been with him through it all. Cheerleaders sold t-shirts and wristbands and hosted a pasta dinner to raise money for Jake's medical bills.

They raised nearly $15,000. Even though he's done with treatments, Jake says he'll keep wearing the wristbands to remind him how lucky he is to have survived.
