CHAMPAIGN -- The Jewish Illini community is honoring one of its own. Tal Brody was a point guard on the 1963 Big Ten Championship team. Now he's a Goodwill Ambassador of Israel.

His jersey was raised in Assembly Hall during halftime at Wednesday night's game. Earlier in the day, fans celebrated his achievements at a party. Brody was part of the first team to ever play in Assembly Hall.
