Training dogs for adoption

NORMAL -- Blind and deaf dogs, with nowhere to go, will now be working with psychology students at Illinois State University. Students are teaching these rescue dogs to follow canine habits and commands.
When the dogs learn something new, they're rewarded with a treat. This will help make them more well behaved and help students actually test the facts they have been learning in textbooks.
Last year the students trained rats, but did not know what to do with them at the end of the year. The hope is that all dogs will be adopted.
