SPRINGFIELD -- Negotiations between Governor Quinn and AFSCME are at a standstill, and now the union is threatening to strike. The union is even passing out flyers to warn its members.

Union representatives say Governor Quinn is not doing enough to meet them half-way. They have been at odds for awhile, and cannot seem to agree on any contract negotiations.

The union is trying to sort out all kinds of issues, including how much workers and retirees will pay for healthcare. Union leaders say they do not want to go on strike, but they are preparing their members.

Before the strike could happen a vote will need to be taken. Both sides will be going back to the table again soon for more negotiations.
