CHAMPAIGN -- Champaign Public Schools celebrated "National African American Parent Involvement Day." It's part of Black History Month. Jefferson Middle School kicked-off the festivities with a breakfast. It was one of 18 schools hosting events. Parents say it's a chance to see both their kids and their teachers at work. Other schools hosted lunches, book readings, assemblies and concerts.
