URBANA -- Lawyers started from scratch in a shooting trial Monday. They had to pick a new jury.

The trial was for 23-year old Ardis Fenn who is accused of shooting a man in the leg in June. That victim was set to testify against him last week, but he was shot to death the night before.

The judge declared a mistrial after a few jurors said they heard about the witness' death. The trial needs 12 jurors and two alternates.

So far, ten jurors have been selected. Jury selection will continue Tuesday morning.
