MACON COUNTY-- An Argenta man is accused of scamming people out of money. 42-year old Lloyd Peterson faces multiple counts of theft by deception.

Police say he was raising funds for a girls softball team which no longer exists. Peterson admitted to police he was using the money for personal expenses.

Police believe most victims are from Macon and DeWitt counties. If you made donations to "Excell Girls' Softball" call the Macon County Sheriff (217) 424 - 1336.
