CHAMPAIGN -- People from all over the U.S. visited this weekend to check out some aerodynamic acrobatics. The University of Illinois hosted the 8th Annual Hobbico E-Fest.

Pilots flew electric planes all the way up to the ceiling of the Armory, did tricks and raced around inside the building. People there said they love the feeling they get when they see planes take flight. There were some young flying fans in attendance as well.

Along with the festivities, several manufacturers brought plane parts to buy and sell at the event. Organizers say costs of maintaining of model planes has gone down over the years inspiring people of all ages to get more involved.
