CHAMPAIGN -- The Champaign County Table Tennis Club held an officially-sanctioned tournament Saturday. Competitors played for cash prizes and trophies. Two were father and son.

The club has two professional coaches who train players to compete at the Olympic-level. But the club also has regular lessons and classes.

"It's been a lot of fun. The expansion was really rapid right from the beginning. There was clearly a need for this," Bryant Evans said.

The Champaign Table Tennis Club is just two years old this month. It has 65-members of all ages.
